Why people come here

When advice isn't helping and the answer isn't coming

You've thought about this for weeks and still can't decide
The more you analyse it, the more confused you feel. Everyone has a different opinion. You just want one clear perspective that cuts through the noise.
Something feels off but you can't name what it is
The situation looks fine on paper. But something in you is hesitating. You need a framework that sees beneath the surface and names what you're sensing.
You're at a crossroads and the stakes feel real
Career, relationship, family, money — the decisions that matter don't wait. You need a trusted sounding board that doesn't sugarcoat and doesn't tell you what you want to hear.
How it works

Four steps from question to clarity

1
Write your question
Describe your situation in plain words. The more specific and honest you are, the more directly the I Ching can speak to it.
2
Cast the coins six times
Three coins toss six times. Each toss creates one line of your hexagram — solid or broken, stable or changing. You watch it build line by line.
3
Your hexagram is revealed
From 64 possible hexagrams, yours appears — with its name, its classical image, and any changing lines marked. Each one is distinct and unrepeatable.
4
Read your personalised interpretation
The I Ching's classical wisdom is applied directly to your question. Not a generic reading — a reflection of your specific situation and hexagram.
Sample reading

What a real reading looks like

Question asked
"I've been offered a new role. My gut says yes but the timing feels wrong. What does the I Ching say?"
Hexagram 29
Kan / The Abysmal
Water over Water · 2 changing lines
What it says
Water flows through the gorge not by waiting for the right moment, but by filling every hollow and pressing forward. The Abysmal does not say the timing is wrong — it says you are afraid of the depth. Your gut is reading this correctly. The hesitation is not a signal to wait; it is the feeling of standing at the edge of something real.
One step
Accept the role. Then address the timing concern directly with whoever offered it — you will find more flexibility than you expect.

What you get

Five things in every reading

Each reading contains five sections — all specific to your hexagram and your question. Nothing generic. Nothing reused.

The hexagram
The name, classical image, and what this symbol has always meant in human experience.
What it says
The hexagram's wisdom applied directly to your question — specific, not general.
Changing lines
Each moving line interpreted for your situation. Lines in motion change everything.
Where this leads
The future hexagram and what the transformation signals for this person right now.
One step
A single concrete action or shift in perspective. Two sentences. Grounded and specific — not vague encouragement.
What people say

From people who asked real questions

Career decision
"I'd been going back and forth on a job offer for two weeks. The hexagram cut right through it. Not what I expected to hear — but exactly what I needed to act."
Meera S. · Bangalore
Relationship question
"I asked about whether to end things with someone. The I Ching didn't answer yes or no — it showed me what I was actually afraid of. That was more useful than a direct answer."
Rahul K. · Mumbai
Business decision
"Three partners, three different opinions on whether to expand. I cast the hexagram and got Hexagram 45 — Gathering Together. We realised we weren't disagreeing on the decision, we were scared of the commitment."
Priya N. · Delhi
Family situation
"My mother and I had not spoken for months. The reading gave me language for something I couldn't articulate. I called her the same day."
Ananya R. · Chennai

FAQ

Common questions

Is the I Ching a religion or spiritual practice?
No. The I Ching is a system of structured reflection — one of the oldest in the world. You can approach it as a philosophical tool, a psychological mirror, or a classical text. It works regardless of your beliefs.
Does myIChing tell me what will happen?
No. The I Ching describes the nature of a situation and its tendencies — not fixed outcomes. The reading shows you what is, not what must be. What you do with it is entirely up to you.
Are the coin tosses truly random?
Yes. Each toss is generated by a cryptographically random JavaScript engine — the same quality of randomness used in security applications. No outcome is predetermined or weighted.
Can I ask the same question twice?
You can, but the I Ching tradition discourages it. If you received a reading and didn't like the answer, sitting with it is usually more useful than asking again. The hexagram rarely changes its mind when pressed.
